  11. About a month ago I bought a 33.6 Sportster (S/N 0008400143487698) for my PC . 
  12.  I use it both with QmodemPro for Windows 1.1 and Winsock 2.1f.  My modem 
  13. initialization string is ATZ2^M.
  14.  
  15. For most of that time, I had no problems.  Then, with Winsock, the modem began 
  16. not recognizing busy signals.  When it reaches a busy signal, it often will 
  17. not do anything until Winsock times out.  Often, it won't recognize the 
  18. signals on the first dial; other times, it may take 8 or nine redials before 
  19. it fails to recognize.  And sometimes, it works just fine.  I do not have this 
  20. problem with QmodemPro, but I have it with Winsock 2.0b and Winsock 2.1f. I do 
  21. not have this problem when I use either version of Winsock or QmodemPro with 
  22. my 14.4 Sportster.
